Scherzer would have gotten my vote. I think playing in front of a historically great D helped surpress some of the Cubs guys' ERAs. There were about 7 guys that could have legit won the NL Cy though.

What? Scherzer had a hell of a season, I'm just a little surprised. Thought sure it would be Lester or Hendricks. Well deserved for Scherzer though

They split the vote

Maybe not, see he received 25 of the 30 first place votes

Scherzer actually received 25 of 30 first place votes, so I don't think you can blame it on split votes.

Lester was the runner up, but only had one first place vote. Hendricks and Kershaw each had two first place votes.

Not saying that scherzer isn't deserving, he definitely is, but 25 of 30 first place votes is ridiculous. No way it should have been that clear-cut.

I'm surprised he got that many as well. I think you could make a strong case for Scherzer, Lester, Hendricks, Syndergaard, Fernandez and Kershaw.

And borderline cases for Bumgarner and Cueto.

Scherzer led the league in wins, innings, strikeouts, and WHIP. That's pretty tough to beat.
