He's also creating turnovers with his defense. 5 steals and a block today.

The key to sustaining this is keep getting calls by the refs, which he will because that means more points for him, which means more hype, which means more Chinese buy Lin jerseys, which means Stern gets his pockets lined more. We won't see the real Lin until near the playoffs or in the playoffs. Until then its the hype machine.

Averaging over 7 turnovers a game, isn't that what "talent evaluators" would says is excessive? Thought so

2:1 is not a good ratio brother. And the league leader in TO's a game avgs 4, Lin absolutely needs to work on taking care of the ball

Sorry but any PG in the league asked to do what he's doing right now would have a higher than AVG turnover margin. Then take into account the fact that these are the first meaningful minutes of his NBA career. Plus he wasn't even a PG in college, he's still learning to play the position. I have a feeling he'll always be a high TO guy, but there's plenty of reason to believe he'll improve.

he should be cut with all those turnovers. After 6 starts that inexcusable.

at all the haters in this thread. I think he's overrated, yes (how could he not be based on the hype?). Certainly not in the elite PG category with the Williams', Rose's, Westbrook's, Paul's, etc. but he's very, very good and definitely one of the top 10 PG's in the league. It's funny seeing people try to tear him down in this thread. Because 28 & 14 against the defending NBA Champs and one of the hottest teams in the league happens every day, right?

I don't know much about basketball, but Amare's +/- was pretty shitty.

A good Assist to Turnover ratio for a PG is to 2 to 1. Ratio’s of 3 or 4 to 1 shows an amazing level of efficiency

ok so he's not amazing efficent.....yet

Steve Nash is tops in overall assists but he also leads in the highest amount of turnovers

and we all know Steve Nash blows

He's very good but he has an obvious ceiling. From what the Knicks are asking him to do - TO are expected...most of his game is driving the lane, creating, passing underneath, passing to the wing, or taking it to the rim himself. In the course of 48 minutes...it's not crazy to think he's going to get caught in the lane 7 or 8 times a game with no pass or good defense stopping his drive.

His good far outweighs his bad. I don't know why this is such an issue...hell, look at Nash in this system.

Top 10 in the league?
Rose, Paul, Westbrook, D. Williams, Rondo, Curry, Nash, Parker, Wall, Calderon.
And Lowry, Irving, Rubio, Conley, Holiday, and Evans are all having good years.

Rondo is a top 5 PG and he can't shoot the ball.
