Yes, Lynch was hurt this year and wasn't 100% when he was playing, but how can you think losing him is okay even if "they have been solid with their draft picks"?

Their less experienced running backs definitely can't run like Lynch. FACT

obviously they'd rather have him than not (money, cap issues aside).
But they did just fine without him this year. And "lucky to break .500" is just stupid.

This is pretty selfish of him to announce this on Super Bowl Sunday

You're correct my bad. Still though, kinda shitty timing even for speculation or whatever you want to call it.

As for Lynch going broke, I was reading earlier that he has not spend a dime of his $49.7M NFL on the field earnings. He's set for a while with endorsement money.

I don't know. Thomas Rawls was Beast Mode 2.0 with 8 games of tape on him. The kid is legitimate.

I'm willing to bet Marshawn is a lot smarter than people on here give him credit for. Not to mention, anybody willing to retire and leave $20+ million on the table in order to save his body and live a longer life probably has a lot more sense than the majority of posters here calling him a moron for leaving said money on the table.

Yea If I have 50M in the bank, while being able to live a lifestyle that doesn't require me to touch that money then an extra 20M is not enough to risk permanent injury or premature death.

Love me some Marshawn, but I don't blame him one bit.

Needing a favorable second half schedule just to get to 10-6 is just fine?

Why did you put quotations on this? I didn't say that.

Anyways, for much of the year they were at or below .500 so why is it so stupid to say they are declining? They aren't nearly the same team they were 3 years ago.

This.

Good for Marshawn, if the speculation is true. Wish him the best, but it sounds like he's got his head on straight.

Would you consider 3rd in total rushing "just fine"?

Not saying he hasn't saved a bunch but that seems to be slight hyperbole:

Having a Lambo doesn't mean he used NFL playing money to buy it.

shite, the Lambo dealer probably cut him a sweet deal for the publicity of the city's biggest star (at the time) to be seen driving their car.

1 of 2 reasons they were so dominant. Sucks for Seattle.

Why? It's not like it's going to overshadow the Super Bowl. All these tv people have to flap their lips for 10 hours of pregame, this gives them something different to talk about for 5 minutes.

He could pretty easily be living off endorsement money and sticking all his NFL money in the bank.
