Kinsler strongly called out Hernandez recently. Umps are butthurt about it.

Give the umps a buzzer that's synced with the electronic strike zone and let them make the call.
They can call plays at the plate, foul tips, etc.

Aren't these umpires paid like $350k a year? I don't know why that number is in my head, I feel like I saw a show about it or something. If that is the case, why can't we just have digital ball/strike calls and a simple review of every close call? It seems like we'd actually get things 100% right that way. It is ridiculous in 2017 that you can have umpires who could potentially be tim donaghy betting on games controlling strike zones so inefficiently but I get the entertainment aspect of it being somewhat important to MLB. In the end $350k a year, if thats the number, is ridiculous for these guys to get so many calls wrong.

My conspiracy theory is that umps don't want him to get the boot b/c that means somebody else will become the most hated. They love that most anti umpire fan and player ire is directed his way.
