Considering his competition is guys like Rod Gilmore or Jesse Palmer, is that really saying much?

Jesse Palmer is good. I never understand the hate for him or Pollack. They know their stuff, are enthusiastic about college football and are well-spoken.

His voice/accent bothers me, but it always has. But his commentary is awesome and I like his personality. I hope he sticks with this for awhile but there were rumors about him being moved into more of a studio (Lou Holtz's old job) position.

No he is not. He reads from his notes. Auburn was on the SEC network 4 times last year, he said the exact same things about the team all 4 times. And he never seems to know what or why things are happening in the game.

Add, "he's also prepared". He misses things or over-emphasizes a point at times just like anyone else in the booth but overall he is a good analyst.
Most of the hate on here towards Palmer and Pollack is because they didn't happen to go to the SEC team the bitcher roots for.
