Sources: Gators, Malik Zaire have mutual interest
quote:

Malik Zaire, a Notre Dame graduate transfer, has become a major target for the Gators, sources informed 247Sports.com. Zaire announced his plan to transfer in November but has yet to settle on a destination. Florida feels confident it can land him.

Malik Zaire is NFL bound 2017 minus his injury versus Virginia 2015.

And also minus him not being good enough to beat out Deshone Kizer this past season or the fact that he isn't that accurate throwing the football

Second topic you've created for Malik Zaire. Couldn't you bump the old one?

He's not an NFL quarterback, but he could be extremely effective in the right system.

It's not his fault that every QB under Kelly eventually got worse the longer they stayed with him.

LSU could be really good with him. Danny Etling sucks.

I have no clue about UFs QB situation.

legit curious about this as well. he literally got sold an obvious bag of goods about starting early to commit to UF. it really makes me question his decision making and intelligence if he truly believed all that shite

i edited the quote to not be completely disrespectful to the kid

This is just inaccurate LSU fodder. McElwain wouldn't even promise Will Grier a starting position upon return from suspension and you think he would to a kid who was obviously in need of development?

I don't want him. Tired of transfer QBs who couldn't cut the mustard at other programs.

Malik Zaire injured on the first outing as a starting QB versus University of Virginia 2015.

Zaire will go somewhere where he thinks he has the best chance to start. I know he was looking at UNC but Harris took that spot.

Zaire is not beating out LSU's returners with limited time in the program, he would need to be here now.

I think he can win that Fla job but unless they overturn Fla being able to take a transfer he can't go there.

Herman has been looking to so maybe Texas enters that mix or even a A&M might be attractive to him.

Malik Zaire is the top transfer QB in the nation according to what I've seen, heard and read. He is 6' 235 lbs and he has a burst that is out of this world.

He is far superior to Purdue's Etling in my view. One reason is Etling is easily hurt as was evidenced versus Alabama 2016 in Baton Rouge and Etling's offense got a whopping total of six first downs versus Alabama for the whole night!!

Zaire was injured in the opener versus Virginia in 2015 to the tune of a fractured ankle. In 2016 Deshone Kizer who is now a projected high draft pick for the NFL, was the starting QB for Notre Dame. Thus Zaire did not see nearly as much start time at ND 2016. To refuse an offer to him is the epitome of ignorance especially a program which is struggling to remain relevant (LSU Football) at this time.

Why didn't Kizer tell Zaire his potential plans, he might be the starting QB at NOtre Dame this fall

LSU even got Home field and still couldn't beat the Gators.
