Think he put together a great staff considering the time of year. Definitely should be able to show significant gains for Illinois football. Especially because the B1G West is wide open.

It's going to be weird seeing him on a college sideline. It almost doesn't seem right.

He has my support.

Good looking staff, but you can't make chicken salad outta chicken shite. Still got shitty players and what recruit will want to sign at that place knowing that entire staff including Smith may bolt at any time for another NFL job. May put a few more asses in the stands, but they will still suck

It will be odd seeing him in college. 2016 may be a throw away year for them. Really interested to see how they recruit.

Because teams will be jumping to hire a twice fired NFL coach. He's done as an NFL head coach until he proves himself again. He will be able to go into any recruits home and at least get their attention.

Fired for 10-6? I think. Had Tampa doing better, just a monkey frick operation down there. He's a good coach, but come on, somebody will give him a shot in NFL if anything because of the Rooney rule

Absolutely. Should improve recruiting and DEFINITELY improve coaching.

He was fired for missing the playoffs so much, never finding an offense, and rarely beating the Packers. Chicago loved him, but was ready for something new. Lovie finally found an good offensive guy in Tampa, then the GM he picked fired him for the offensive coordinator. That may have left a bad NFL taste in his mouth. Much more control in college.
