Sulphur cowboy Shane Hanchey (huge LSU fan) starts his chase for his second world title in tie-down roping at NFR in Las Vegas starting tonight. If you want to pull for a local cowboy and LSU fan check out CBS Sports Network starting at 9 PM for the next 10 nights. If you listen closely you’ll hear those 4 wonderful notes each time he ropes because he loves the Tigers!

I can't think of anything else I'd hate more, than watching that BS on a Thursday night, or any night, for that matter.

He's got my respect

I've done a few bullrides but never made my living as a rodeo cowboy. It's a grind I bet

I guess you could say they’re semi-retired, they pick and close their rodeos but don’t ride the circuit throughout the season. And yes it’s a grind, only home about 5 months a year and not only must you manage your practice time and animals you’ve also got sponsorship events to handle along with scheduling rodeos and travel.
