Lorenzo Cain didn't start playing baseball until the 10th grade

Showed up to his first practice with a collared shirt and Jean shirts on.
Likely just wrapped up a 10 year MLB career with a .285 batting average.
Really cool story that I hadn't heard before.

I remember kids making fun of other kids at high school baseball tryouts, for showing up in jeans and a tshirt. There were always a few guys who showed up to tryouts in that. Would have loved to see these same snobby arse kids, making fun of Lorenzo in high school for wearing that.
