I don't know her well enough to form an opinion. I will say that I have absolutely no idea whatsoever why she's famous.

I find her personality really off-putting. Like someone said a few posts back, she's playing up that 15 minutes of fame even though she hasn't done anything to really earn it. Everytime she talks I find what she says to be cringe-worthy.

I get criticizing her personality based on a few things, I don't totally agree with you but I understand where you are coming from.
However to say she hasn't earned it, especially with LSU fans is comical. She won multiple individual national titles and helped win multiple team titles while at LSU and graduated. As a professional she has won multiple U.S. and world championship titles, was an American record holder in the 60M hurdles and is a two time Olympic finalist. I don't even care about the bobsled digression, but its not like she was supposed to win a medal anyway.
Last, I know a little about track, I've never heard anyone say she was a bad teammate in competition or in the locker room.

She is an attractive, educated, somewhat successful, well spoken Olympic athlete.
She is actually a more decorated athlete than soccer player Alex Morgan (and many of her current teammates) who last I saw gets tons of attention.
