The basketball hall of fame is like a free museum-- they'll let just about anybody in, if they can crawl there.

Guys who are absolute no-doubters (who either the Hall metrics give 93%+ shot to get into the Hall, or who have international accomplishments to supplement those metrics)-- and this can also have Paul Pierce, if you don't consider him officially retired yet.

LeBron
Manu
KD
Paul
Dirk
Wade
Westbrook
Curry
Pau Gasol
Tony Parker
Vince Carter
Melo
Bosh
D. Howard

There are a spate of other guys who are very much potential HOFers, as well--

Harden, Love, George, Griffin being the next 4 closest.

There's also a grab bag of Joe Johnson, Rondo, Klay Thompson, Paul Millsap, Cousins, etc, of multi-year veterans who can still get the numbers up or play for enough winners to get a shot-- think maybe half those types end up in the Hall.

Then you have incredibly young players who play at an outstanding early level, but need to sustain it- every year brings them significantly closer, at the level they play at currently-- think Kyrie/AD/KAT.

Not hard to make it into the basketball HoF so a lot of current players will

I scored the winning basket in my 6th grade Rec League championship. Do you think I can at least make it on the ballot if I submit a claim? I've already been retired long enough to be eligible.

Somebody said on the last page that every player that's made 1st team All-NBA twice has made the Hall. If that's the case should you go ahead and add Kawhi to that list? He's already stacked up quite the resume. Would he have a case right now if he never played again?

Pro basketball HOF is really easy to get into.

Tracy McGrady, George McGinnis, Nikos Galis, Zack Clayton, and Mannie Jackson are in the 2017 class.
Those aren't the coaches or executives but the players who were selected last year, two of them played for Globetrotters.

Rebecca Lobo also was in this class. In her WNBA career she started 72 games averaging under 7 points a game, 1 assist, 4 rebounds. After her first two years, she never averaged more than 3 points per game.

I think Klay will make it if he wins a few more championships.

Of course.

Assuming a normal career trajectory and just 1 more title(if that is even needed) Klay and Draymond are locks.

But if they never played again, nah.

Yeah. I've been a few times-- its a little less about the players, and more about the entertainment value of the Hall, which I have found to be higher than Canton or Cooperstown for the fan experience.

Right now, he'd be borderline. There is likely to be a ton of Spurs good will for a very long time, so I would think he would make it, eventually. Think Super Dennis Johnson from those Celtics teams-- he took until 2010 to make it in, but made it to the Hall.

That's assuming Kawhi quit tomorrow.

And despite this fact the defenders of Superteams( and weak competitors like Durant) use HOF count of old teams without context.

K.C. Jones is in the HOF as a player with a statline of 7/4/3 on relatively limited minutes and never made an All Star or All NBA team. They may as well put Derek Fisher & Robert Horry in if K.C. Jones is in .
