I've been to New York many times. Having been in the league as long as I have and even when I lived in Philly and when I lived, now, in Memphis, we would come up and go to a play or go to a musical and then go to dinner and hang out for two or three days. So I'm pretty comfortable with New York, I just never thought I'd be living here. That's the big shocker. It's still surreal to believe that I'm in New York, and especially after being 12 years in Memphis. Memphis is like, compared to New York, it's like back in the stone age when you didn't have electricity and stuff. And that's not a knock on Memphis as much as it's just a contrast in how developed and how, just, unbelievably electric New York is versus Memphis. People are laid back, they move slow, they talk slow and they drag their words out.

Damn.

Lionel still a little salty.

NYC is also fricking expensive

Hell I could buy a house in Memphis in a decent neighborhood, for the same cost as it would be to rent a one bedroom apartment in NYC for a year

that's false.

eta: there may be a few, but for the most part that's false. and it's all relative. if you can afford something like that, you wouldn't be buying a house in a "decent" neighborhood in memphis

Not really. Germantown homes are very affordable.

Germantown was recognized a couple years back as the safest city in Tennessee

If you can afford a 1 BR apartment that costs over $10k a month, then you aren't buying a $100k house. that's all i'm saying.

I really was kidding. I'm not a "NYC is the center of the world" type person.

Not really. Lionel isn't the most media savvy person in the world. He tries to make "jokes", which this probably was, and isn't very good at it.

Should be fun to watch him deal with the NY media
