I think they're trying to soon.

There was a meeting of private schools this past week discussing a private league. I believe if it happened they would allow transfers from public schools to be eligible immediately so it would be tempting for kids to leave the public schools.

LHSAA rankings just came out for boys basketball. I'm on my phone, so sorry I can't link them.

If the LHSAA rankings that just came out stay the same when the brackets are released tomorrow:

Championship games:

5A: Scotlandville vs Byrd, C. E.

4A: St. Thomas More vs East Jefferson

3A: John Curtis vs U-High

2A: Riverside vs Dunham

1A: Lafayette Christian vs Christian Life

BOLD teams are the State Champions

5A: Byrd over Scotlandville

4A: STM over East Jeff

3A: Richwood over Port Allen

2A: Riverside over Episcopal

1A: Christian Life over Madison Prep

Some stretches, some not, should be fun

Only "lock" is Riverside. IMO they are the best team in all classifications.

Byrd will be lucky to get by oauchita in the 1st round much less win it all. They play absolutely no defense

3 way tie for 7-3A. Coin flip was worth 8-10 spots.

Shreve is solid and very well coached. Play tough defense not near the talent of byrd but has a chance to win every night out because of their defense.

Peabody vs Tioga Part III is what I want to see. Winner of that game could be your 4A champion
