I'd love to know when the NBA wasn't top heavy...
Did you watch the Western Conference playoffs? The Heat and 4 or 5 teams in the West could have won it all this year.

Great so he can go to the Lakers and the NBA can become even more top-heavy

FYI, the few times that there haven't been dynasties or super-teams in the NBA, were the lowest points in NBA history in terms of popularity.
When the league isn't top-heavy, no one watches

How does college football have a lack of parity? I think it's very competitive. Alabama has been lucky the past few years, but there was never a year where you just knew "okay... it's Alabama and (let's say USC) for the championship. We know that's who it's going to be so let's get there already. The regular season means nothing"

Ray Allen is "leaning toward" returning for his 19th NBA season, and he reportedly wishes to continue playing alongside LeBron James.
Tethering yourself to LeBron is a great way to ensure you'll play for a championship contender, and Allen even went on vacation with LBJ last week following their Finals defeat. Allen will be 39 years old when the 2014-15 season begins, but he's proven over the past two season that he can still be a key contributor on a winning team.

He's going to Atlanta because I believe

In addition to the Miami Heat’s obvious desire to retain James by any means necessary and pursue Anthony if he urges them to do so, sources told ESPN.com on Tuesday that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlanta Hawks are among the teams mulling potential trades designed to clear enough cap space to be able to recruit the two stars and close friends.
There's a chance

It's gotta suck not knowing what team you will cheer for until LeBron chooses what team to take his talents to
The Heat have dopey fans and bandwagon fans like most every other teams in every other sport in this country. Fact of the matter is, when you put a better product out there, more people will be interested. But the idea that nobody went to Heat Games until LeBron showed up is ludicrous.
