Lebron James is going to finish his career with these records and accomplishments

-All time leader in regular season points (needs to average 20 PPG for 6 more seasons at 82 games. Obviously won't play 82 each year, but could play more than six seasons and will have a few seasons still around 25-26 PPG)
-All time leader in playoff points
-Top 10 in all time regular season assists
- 2nd in all time playoff assists
-6th or higher in all time playoff rebounds
-Top 20 in all time regular season steals
-first in all time playoff steals (needs 28 more before tonight according to Wikipedia)
- Top 20 in all time playoff blocks
- 1 or 2 (likely 2) in all time PER for regular season
- 3rd in all time playoff PER
- 1st in first team all NBA selections (he's at 10 now, soon to be 11 which will tie him for first. Almost assuredly makes it one more time for sole possession)
- At least 4 MVPs
-At least 3 titles and finals MVPs
He was given an overwhelming amount of hype at age 16, constantly under intense media scrutiny (more so than any other athlete in histoy)- yet never been in any trouble, no scandals whatsoever. Has done some great philanthropy work in the community also.
He's done all this while playing efficient basketball as well. He's proven he can put the team on his back and carry them to a title. He's silenced all criticisms (of which he faced many) of his game and legacy.
I actually feel bad for the people who can read that list of accomplishments and say "but but but the decision" or "but but but MJ", as if it's a knock on him to only be the second best player ever
There will never be another player like him, and some people want to criticize every fault he has or knock him at any opportunity possible. You have to be pretty miserable to spend his transcendent career doing that instead of appreciating his greatness. He's the greatest player a lot of us too young to see or appreciate MJ have ever seen.
I consider myself extremely lucky to be able to watch such an astounding talent and career.

The only knock on LeBron is that he's super cheesy

6 more seasons of 20+ ppg? That's not even close to a certainty. I frankly do not see that happening.

I would love to see LeBron score his 35,000th point before he hangs it up.

I read that as he needs to average 20+ ppg. He has at least 3 seasons left of 20+ ppg. If he has 3 more seasons at just below 20 ppg then that's doable.

Correct. He needs to average 20 PPG over the next 6 years at 82 games a year.
So obviously a few 25 PPG seasons help when he starts to tail off, he'll only need a 15 PPG season for every 25 PPG season before then

He got a 3-4 year head start on a lot of the great str8 outta high school. Still, impressive #s

After that, it's just, what, 17-18ppg the remaining 4 seasons? I can agree it's not a certainty if he starts getting injured around 35 and on, but I find it hard pressed to really predict it won't happen. Seems the odds are well in his favor.
Now the 82 games per season, that could be a sticking point.

Can't wait to see the meltdown when he finishes with 7 rings

Do you realize who you are talking about?
He coasted this year to 26 PPG. He can score 20 in his sleep. He'll get 25+ the next 2 years. 20+ for another 2 years after, but will be more of a passer. His last couple years he'll get around 18-20 PPG

Everyone should share this sentiment. We are watching a player that is talked-about in the same breath as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.
