anyone else notice that after ball carrier enters the end zone, officials stop calling penalties on defenders for pushing/hitting ball carriers/WRs after the TD is effectively scored?

ball carrier slows down in the end zone, DB catches up and shoves ball carrier pushing off balance, to ground. should be personal foul. its never called.

Hmmm?

Not sure if you are talking about NFL or NCAA but on NC State's last TD against FSU they called a dead ball late hit on a CB who pushed the WR in the chest after the catch.

I'm bothered more by the fact that they never call late hit, or the obvious block in the back when a lineman runs downfield and jumps on a pile as a ball carrier is being tackled. If the ref doesn't think it's after the whistle, he has to see that it was clearly a hit in the back.

I see it all the time. Espescially by a DB who got out run. He finally catches up and hits the dude 5 yards into the endzone.

Yes, this happens all the time. Especially on kicks or punts that are returned for TDs.
