Mark your calendars, boys and girls.

Lane Kiffin is planning for the future.

Last month, the Florida Atlantic coach offered Tee Martin's seventh-grade son a scholarship to be a part of the Owls' 2022 class.

The former Alabama offensive coordinator decided to go ahead and get a jump on the 2023 class while he's at it.

Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports reports, via Twitter, that Kiffin has offered Pierce Clarkson, the son of quarterback guru Steve Clarkson.

For those keeping track, Pierce Clarkson just finished up his sixth-grade year.

According to Hudl, the California quarterback stands 5-foot-7.

You can check out some highlights, if you choose to do so, here.

Meanwhile, Steve Clarkson played a season for the Denver Broncos and two seasons in the Canadian Football League in 1983 and 1984, according to his web site.

Meanwhile, Kaden Martin is 5-foot-11, 175-pounds and is at Adams Middle School in Redondo Beach, Calif.

Tee Martin, who led Tennessee to a national championship at quarterback in 1998, said it is Kaden's first and only offer.

"Coach Kiffin has been knowing Kaden for a while because of our relationship," said Martin, who worked with Kiffin at USC. "He has always said it about Kaden and now he is in a situation where he can make that decision.

"He's seen him play. He's been around him. Our families are very close. ... He's seen him more than other people. In his mind, one day, he's going to be a good player, so he wants to be the first to offer him."

What are the odds he would even be at FAU at that point? If he does well enough, someone else will hire him. If he bombs, he doesn't get that long. This is just good Freshwater trolling.

yeah one way or the other there's no way he's still at FAU past 2019 or maybe 2020 at the absolute latest.

His favorite color is camouflage. Also likes to spend his free time riding his scooter and playing laser tag.

I would guess his father is quite invested in his son's athletic future.

Lol he won't be there by 2023. What he's doing is setting up one hell of a prank.
