That's not the point. Lance Barkman is an Astros icon. If Jeff Bagwell's decrepit arse signed w/ the Cardinals tomorrow as a bullpen catcher, I might go out tonight and maul a hobo.

Ten years from now, you'll completely forget he ever played for the Cards.

Not really. I never stopped hating David Eckstein when he was on the Cardinals.

I guess if he can remember how to hit

LF Berkman
CF Rasmus
RF Holliday

SS still sucks and I really was hoping Jon Jay was the real deal

He's not an everyday player anymore, especially in the outfield.

Can Jay play cf everyday? If so, I wouldn't be surprised to see them trade Rasmus for help at SS and/or the bullpen if the whole LaRussa-Rasmus feud is all it's being made out to be.

he was playing RF everyday so I don't see why not (much faster that Rasmus)

thought the same thing until I read they are going to try and sign Jenks and they just added Tallet

I think getting rid of Rasmus will be a "if all other options fail" kinda thing. I honestly can see this being LaRussa's last year with the team, so getting rid of Rasmus may be kinda silly

How the frick does Berkman command 8 million dollars for one year of service? Cardinals way overpaid IMO, dude has lost a sec on seeing the ball. He has looked down right terrible at the plate the last two years. Holliday said he would move to RF and Berkman will play left.
