No, it's not. Although a very long shot (they now will have to face a pissed-off and motivated, much better team in USM), they could still claw their way back. Stranger things have happened.

Southern Miss leads Louisiana Tech 4-2 through four innings in an elimination game in the C-USA Tournament.

Louisiana Tech just got eliminated from the C-USA Tournament. Southern Miss defeated them 5-2.

Looks like we carried some hitting over from yesterday. Crites absolutely crushed that homer (and the foul ball).
Lions up 4-0 going into the bottom of the 1st. Not really sure how the 2 seed is the away team against the 3 seed though, seems kinda crappy.

Ya im not understanding this at all. Even the announcers just said projections have us as a "lock" ive seen us get screwed too many times to be comfortable. Really need to win against uno in morning to at Least seal a .500 tournament

I'd be surprised if Southeastern was left out.
Currently #24 RPI, non-conference RPI of 14, SOS of 42 and non-conference SOS of 21
6-4 vs. RPI Top-50, 2nd place conference finish.
I think if any Southland team gets a "surprising shaft," it might be McNeese, 4-9 vs RPI top 50, 6-14 vs RPI top 100. Most of their wins were compiled against RPI 101+ teams (19-1 vs RPI 101-200 and 11-3 vs RPI 200+)
