The Clippers are expected to pursue a trade for Giannis, per @KevinOConnorNBA

Giannis reportedly has an “admiration” for Doc Rivers.

Every single team is going to give Milwaukee a call.

Of course they’re going to pursue a trade, but they have no assets to give Milwaukee.

They have nothing to put in besides Harrell.

Harrell is a FA I think.

They can offer Playoff P.

Milwaukee won't take P. He almost assuredly won't opt in after next year

Then they've got nothing.

He can opt out after next year. Granted he's weakminded so maybe they could punk him into it like OKC did.

Would need to be a team that George would want to play for

Almost every team in the league could offer a better package, even with a 3rd team, and very few teams in the West would facilitate a trade of Giannis to the West.

The Pelicans could offer a better package without giving up Zion or BI without even blinking.

It's hard to really consider assets for Giannis because he is a back-to-back MVP. Like he's fetching far more than anyone we've seen in the past few years. Like, there's nothing to say the Mavs won't offer of Porzingis. Or Philly wouldn't swap Ben Simmons or something.

Who would want in on that?

The Clips have no cap space and no picks thanks to trades and pick swaps.

Cap space will likely be at a premium going forward too so they can’t just dump off salary in exchange for a fake 2nd.

It would have to be an East team that has assets that would be attractive to Mil and Playoff P would opt in with.

Let's say it's like the 76ers. Philly realizes Ben and Joel can't coexist so Embiid to Milwaukee, Giannis to Clips, George to Philly with some Milwaukee picks and other stuff(assume PG does extension). I could see that specifically working but that's pretty massive and unlikely since Giannis would have to have the gun to Milwaukee's head to make them do the deal.
