Fruck
Head coach John Calipari cleared some of that up on Monday morning, telling reporters that five players are likely to go: junior forward Willie Cauley-Stein, freshman forwards Karl-Anthony Towns and Trey Lyles, and sophomore guards Andrew Harrison and Aaron Harrison.
Three of those players are projected as first-round picks in the 2015 NBA Draft, according to DraftExpress. Towns is ranked as the draft's No. 1 overall prospect, followed by Cauley-Stein at No. 6 and Lyles at No. 19. Andrew Harrison is listed at No. 60 overall, with Aaron Harrison falling outside the Top 100. LINK

LOL if the Harrison twins turn pro, both will be overseas
They both need to be 4 year players and get their degree

I still can't see how this is a cause for concern. He wants to play PG and they already have Ulis and have Briscoe (who is a better pure PG right now) coming in. Briscoe starts, Ulis comes off the bench because Cal loves him.
What I'm most surprised at is Devin Booker isn't on that list. Maybe he just hasn't decided yet, but I would've expected him WAY before the Harrison twins (although those two are headcases)

So Booker and Ullis are coming back, along with the incoming Isiah Briscoe and Charles Matthews. He still ain't going to UK. They're gonna be loading up on big men from here on out. Id bet they land Thon Maker and Caleb Swanigan.

Mickey made a stupid decision and I've said it as much. As long as he's okay playing in Serbia making $70k he'll be fine, but that's where he's at right now.

Yeah he needs to go, but good news for us if he stays. That means UK is starting him for sure which means that much less playing time available for Newman. Newman is really a SG and Cal and them probably see him as such. Briscoe and Ulis will handle the point for them next year.

How on earth is he actually going to qualify a whole year early after transferring like 4 schools.

Not only that, but Thon would be the final straw that would probably send Calipari's throne crumbling down. That's a recruitment that is going to attract the full force of the NCAA. Not only will it take the Clearinghouse forever to get everything together from all the schools, but that dirty side of recruiting will definitely rear its ugly head with him
I see him going overseas for a year just cause. He could probably make a lot of money in that one year

Yea because you can't go back and get your degree after playing pro basketball right. You know what you really can't do? Go back in time, be 20 years old again, and make a salary that immediately puts you in the top 1% of earners in the country.

Trying to get a degree while playing basketball in Serbia will be pretty tough to do. Does UK have a good online program? You understand there's no way Aaron Harrison gets drafted, right? He's a SG who cant shoot worth a damn. you also understand not everyone who goes overseas makes millions much less hundreds of thousands, right?

You can literally get a degree at any point in your life. Why you people use the "stay in school/get your degree" as an excuse to further your own view point as if there is an expiration date on the classes they have already taken is beyond me. But really just say whatever you need to and throw out some obscure country where some type of pro basketball is played to further your own awful opinion.
But making $40k to $60k tax free overseas for playing a game sounds like an awful proposition. Tell me again about all the 20 year olds in America that clear $40-$60k after taxes.

To me the Harrison twins should stay in school to try to improve their game and become NBA caliber players, not because of anything related to education. I think they could possibly improve to that point if they were four year guys

another underrated aspect is that the players have very little expenses. Almost everything is taken care of by the team/org. These guys can bank some serious cash with a 10 yr career overseas.

Well he was quoted as saying that who stays/goes from Kentucky was going to have a big impact on his decision. So there's that. Maybe things have changed since then, but I don't there's any way to spin this as a positive for anyone but Kentucky.

Are you saying the 60th and not-even-in-the-top-100 pro prospects are in line to have a 10 year career overseas?
I get the part with little expenses. What do you think the odds are that the Harrison twins, if they were even offered a FIBA contract, would save the $90K+ required to complete their education vs. just coming home and driving a forklift?
