He's a different type of player. He might score 16-17 ppg but he's going to make an impact. I can see him averaging 9 boards in the future too. His numbers won't blow you away but he's an excellent player

if that gives you any indication of how i see his future

what is there to suggest otherwise?

hes never avgd more than 15 pts in college or pro but somehow hes gonna be an all-star?

comparing him to jamison is beyond comical as well.

Marion in his prime was like 19/11 I don't think Leonard will ever be as active on the boards or blocking shots like matrix

Marion played center for a few years and was awesome. So no.

Indeed. And lets be honest, Heat's concerns were Parker, Duncan, Green and THEN Leonard.

Leonard *went off*, once Heat decided to shut down Green.

not that great, like a 15-17 ppg.

but the comparison to pippen is still sound.

Pippen one of the best 50 players in NBA history. HOF'er, 6x champion.

George only averaged 16 PPG in college!!!!

Pippen was a walk-on in college, i do believe.

Who here is saying Leonard is going to lead the league in scoring, anyway?

I do think he could eventually develop into an 18-20 ppg guy but he doesn't have to be a scorer to impact a game. Deng is probably the best comparison. He's a glue guy. He can get you points and a lot of boards at the SF position. Again, he plays a lot bigger than his position but he can also step out and knock down an occasional 3. He won't be a playmaker and isn't a volume scorer, just a good basketball player that might make an all-star team or two more on reputation than numbers.
