As a Gordon fan I gave up watching NASCAR after 2008 season. Not sure why he's not as effective as he once was. I'm sure age plays a part, but it's been a long time since he won a championship.

He did have some dealings with getting JJ hired in the 48 as part owner of it.. After that he got bad..

Gordon will never win a championship again. Fact.

He will still contend for several more years but he is washed up. I am no 24 hater but times have changed.

Yeah, he had a good run from '96-'01 or so...then it all when downhill. IMO he should've won the 2007 chase but he fell short.
