He's a dude that was probably sheltered from the experience of growing up black (although growing up adopted and of mixed race carries it's own set of experiences, this I can promise), and is finding his voice.
He's misguided in his thoughts often, but at least there's a heartbeat in there...It's ok to be a human being forst, and a football player second.
