In a 15-year stretch from 1966-1980, Nicklaus won The Open three times, finished 2nd seven times, and was never out of the top six.

The field must have been very weak.

So in 15 years, he only won 3 times?? Not very impressive.

It's amazing to me that there is even a debate as to who is the GOAT

Was there a debate in this thread that I missed?
Somebody posted a thread about Jack's accomplishments and, like clockwork, somebody showed up to trash Tiger.
If you're tired of hearing about Tiger, stop bringing him up.

And don't forget about the state of golf equipment then to equipment now.

Hey jabronie, I'm not the one that brought him up. I just said that there should be no debate as to who is the GOAT.

He's the GOAT, always has been, always will be.
