A federal judge has given final approval to a class-action lawsuit settlement between the National Football League and thousands of former players, the league said.

The agreement provides up to $5 million per retired player for serious medical conditions associated with repeated head trauma.

It also applies to the family members of players who died

About 200 other former players opted out of the settlement to the lawsuit, which accused the NFL of hiding the dangers of concussions.

I'm pretty sure the dollar amount was the same or close to the same to the one that was rejected, they mostly just changed some of the language in the rules

This one is a super great deal for the NFL; the one that will finally come to trial 10 years from now for the ones who didn't settle is going to cost them the big bucks. It will be settled as well, prob about an hour before court begins.
