He's incredible. He will be successful in the pros very soon. I'm just disagreeing that he was better than Strasburg in the college game.
Strasburg had 195 strikeouts in 109 innings his junior year compared to Gray who had 147 strikeouts this year in 126.1 innings.

It also isn't the same because Gray has more than 2 pitches. He already has a very solid changeup.

Fair enough. 
Let me rephrase. IMO Gray was better against LSU than Strasburg was against Virginia.

Jury's still out on this. It's not developed because he's rarely needed it. Not to say it isn't good, but he has only had to use the FB and slider to dominate.

This is true, but people are dismissing it like he won't be able to pitch because he has no clue how to throw anything other than those 2 pitches which just isn't true. People just saw him against LSU and assume that he can't throw anything but FB/slider

100% agree. He's able to keep the CH down with the same arm speed which is 95% of the battle. But right now, it's just a slower pitch without the dip at the end. I'm not sure how he holds it, but he's getting too much backspin to allow for that "fall of the table" effect.

Yep. I think they'll get this fixed in the minors real quick though. Either get the kid to start throwing a split and get that hard tumbling action since he throws so damn hard or show him how to roll over a circle change and bury it low and away from the lefties.
