But things escalated ... and at one point during the altercation Manziel struck the other guy in the face.

But get this ... the next day, the other guy in the fight got a surprise from room service -- a bottle of champagne and a note that read, "Truly apologize. Should have never done that. Know this won't make it better, but hope it starts the day off alright." It was signed by Johnny Manziel.

But.......Johnny is going to change. He means it this time.

My post from the thread about him wanting to make a comeback.

quote:

Actually I've rather enjoyed watching him fall apart. Dude was giant douchebag, and I find his failure entertaining. He had every chance in the world given to him to be successful. He had to actually try to be as big a frick up as he is.

Someone like Manziel or Draymond Green probably has to deal with an inordinate amount of drunken assholes every time they go in public.

That isn't giving them a pass, because they seem like whole-hearted assholes, but I'm always a little surprised this doesn't happen on a more regular basis with people like them.

Is there anyone you won't make an excuse for?

Josh Gordon was a top 5-10 wr in the NFL and is pissing it away. Manziel is pissing away being a career backup.

You've got to be kidding me.

Where is my excuse? I said he's an a-hole and I'm not giving him a pass, but is it really blasphemous to suggest that Manziel is probably antagonized on a nightly basis by drunken frat stars? Every time he retaliates he is in the wrong, but I'm sure it is relentless for someone like him.

Oh, it must be all the drunk people he interacts with.

Dude is a frick up. And it's no one's fault but his own.

He retaliates? Glad to see you know how all his frick ups go down.

You've got to be kidding me.

It is one thing to muck up threads on the OT going back and forth, but can we spare the MSB? This is hallowed ground.

I'm a documented Manziel "hater," if you can even call it that anymore. I'm 100% in agreement that he is a total a-hole and has effectively ruined his life. He's brought all of this on himself, no questions asked.

My point is that when you take an a-hole like Manziel and throw him into a public setting with alcohol, can you imagine how relentless drunken people probably are with their comments about him? I'm surprised he isn't in an altercation each and every time he goes in public.

Alcohol always starts the day off right.

I don't know, can you stop making excuses for him?

That is you partially excusing his behavior. I know you can see that.
