So much for all the people saying he needs to change his approach and swing more to knock in more runs. His swing% is 3% lower than in his past two years.

Who is saying that, Harold Reynolds?

The only problem with Votto in 2014 was his legs. His approach is perfect for who he is. I am surprised he has so much pop again. I incorrectly thought the leg injuries would depress his future power.

I'm using this thread to bitch about the horrible umpire in Boston that literally cost the Yankees the game tonight.

That is all.

There was a long thread earlier this year with a bunch of people saying that.

votto is the most underrated player in baseball IMO. it has been a pleasure watching his at bats this year and ignoring the other 3 hours of bullshite every night.

And Jason Heyward, was just about to make a thread on him but I'll wait now.

#STLCards’ Heyward OPS since the All-Star break: .901. Up to .792 for the season. Only 26. He will do quite well in free agency.

I knew someone would bring up Phillips.

He is a player, not a member of a front office, so I cut him slack.

As good as Heyward has been, vottos OPS is 384 points higher. Let that sink in.

Him, Raisel Iglesias, and Desclafani are the only reasons to watch right now.

Have you seen what he looks like these days? Dude's rocked up, too. He's slimmer, but he looks like he's in the best physical condition of his life. Good for him...I've always liked Votto a lot and I love that the Cubs have their own version of him in Rizzo.
