He's had two first round draft pick QB's and really underperformed with them.
Jameis is a god-send to him (kind of like Tebow and Percy for Meyer) and is making him seem better than he really is.
Granted, he DOES get credit from me to tearing up the recruiting trail.
And he'll get a TON of credit for tearing UF a new a-hole in a few weeks.
I'd say he's getting paid what he's worth at this point. Decent coach. Good enough to win the ACC.

not sure how much credit you can give Fisher for recruiting well to FSU... there are literally dozens of coaches who could do as well and stumble into an ACC championship or two along the way... and up until this season, he's had a tendancy to play down to competition (see UVA in 2011 at home and NCST last year).
I'll reserve judgement till his team is actually tested with equal talent... like Florida at the Doak last year. He should get credit for the Clemson win this year... he had his team more than ready for a top 5 matchup on the road.
If he wins it all this year, the man deserves a hefty raise... anything short, nope.
eta: personally, I was in favor of him getting the Auburn job this past offseason and (to a lesser extent) 2009.
