Jim Rome Show in the New Orleans Area......

Back on in the New Orleans market on 106.1.
Hopefully they get some local programming, could be a good station. Would be nice if they get Gerry V to do a general sports show since that is the Hornets flagship.

So Fox Sports moved from 690 to 106.1. Interesting. They're also rebranding themselves as 106.1 The Ticket. I'm sure they're going to get some local guys too. Should be fun to see what that station does and who they pick up.

With all of the shakeout with the BR market I had given 690 a chance in the mornings and it was horrible. I had previously listened to the Sports Hangover guys in short bursts and it was ok, but when I listened to the entire show, I found it to be juvenile and the amount of serious sports talk minimal.

Nothing and no one.
Do any of you have any idea how these stations work?
All satellite except for that Gawd awful Jerry V show. Nothing else local since they don't want to spend a dime on employees.
I tried to give him a chance. You got the Saints/LSU/Bama situation and he talked for 50 minutes Tuesday about his love for the New York Giants.
I will fricking take a pass thanks and Jim Rome jumped the shark about 4-5 years ago, pass on that asshat too

Houston just dropped Rome. HUGE loss for him.

I enjoy the Sports Hangover. It's refreshing and a change from normal sports talk. To each their own.

I enjoyed it when I just caught it running errands/going to lunch, but to sit through the whole show the bits get old.
