Frank Benedetto, the senior vice president for security at the Madison Square Garden Company, was fired Friday morning, a source said. Benedetto, who was at Wednesday game and witnessed the fiasco, took over the top security post after serving as a top U.S. Secret Service official who was credited with helping oversee the safety of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama while serving as Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Presidential Protection.

Knicks legend Charles Oakley has been banned from Madison Square Garden for life, ESPN Radio host Michael Kay reports. “Charles Oakley will never be allowed to enter MSG again, even if he purchases a ticket,” Kay said on his show Friday afternoon. Kay will interview Knicks owner James Dolan later in Friday’s show.

Most owner's would back down to make the story go away but Dolan's too big of a baby for that.

Does he own MSG? If not how could he possibly enforce that?

Pretty sure he owns the team and MSG, which is how he can make it stick for non-Knick events.

How did Oakley assault Dolan? He never got within about 10 feet of him.

As far as Dolan goes, he's a little bitch for banning one of the team's former players because he can't take criticism.

Maybe Prokorov should have Charles Oakley Night for the Nets.

They could use the boost in attendance, however slight.

So much for the move to Brooklyn being a boon for the Nets. Of course, I'm sure the $1B arena is working for them.

James Dolan says Charles has a "problem with anger" and then he also says "he may have a problem with alcohol, we don't know."
