And will be joining the Clippers front office.

The Logo wanted to return to the Lakers in a advisory role similar to what he had in Golden State. Apparently, Magic and Jeanie Buss wanted to go in another direction

Schlenk also left GSW. Wonder how that FO brain drain will effect them.

Do they need a front office with the young talent they have now? Most* of the posters on the SEC Rant could win a championship as their front office executive.

*I know, its not shocking that that board contains some that couldn't win with that team.

not true if you consider that most sec ranters believe that their team's backups are better than the starters.

they know the credit for success would go to West. West is easily the best basketball brain in the world, but I can understand Magic wanting to blaze his own trail.

I mean why in the world would you turn down Jerry West if he wants to help? Dr. Buss loved West and I thought Magic was tight with him too. As great of a player as he was, imo he is the greatest GM in NBA history

Watch the Clippers poach Ryan West now too

It always amazed me how all the players admire Mr. West. There is a genuine love and appreciation for him from players of all generation. He is a great ambassador for the league

I think someone on here said the beef is between Jeanie and West. Something about how he didn't approve of her relationship with Phil Jackson and how Jackson and West didn't get along.

Could this be step #1 in this possibility?

You gotta think PG13 + the Lakers young crew will be more appealing in the future than an over the hill banana boat squad. Plus Lebron loves Magic iirc.

I love how people think bringing back old legends will be the key to LA being a great team.
