No. That's not a typo. I don't care how many games into the season it is. The fact that someone can type this as a factual statement at any point in this season is a surprise on par with the Miracle on Ice. He's currently hitting .292 (was hitting above .300 before tonight's game against the Dodgers).

ETA: Bolded point of emphasis for the reading comprehension impaired.

The fact that were almost 5% through the season makes it impressive. The fact that it's by .02 points and he's technically not the leader makes it even more impressive. Great thread

Damn, must be a hangover for the team as a whole if this is the best they've got after 5-6 games. Usually most teams have someone at like .350-.400 this early on

Welp we might as well just give him a silver slugger award now. No need to wait til the season ends

Right now Jose Altuve is hitting .188. J.T. Realmuto is slugging .909. It's really, really early.

The Twins have the best winning percentage in the MLB. They're probably going to win the World Series.

I can w/ certainty say that Nomar Mazara's slash line of .417/.462/.750 will hold steady throughout the season.

Bryant was batting .000 after the first three games. This shite can change instantly this early in the season

Yeah Heyward looks better, but it is only 7 games in. Jeremy Guthrie also has a 135.00 ERA.

And I thought Sam Dyson after the Cleveland series' ERA of 72.00 was impressive.

It's way too early but I'm encouraged by his swing. The loop looks to be out. If he hits .260 I'll be excited.

Obviously it's early. This thread was made more in jest than anything. That's the point of the joke. He was so bad last year that being able to say he lead the team in average AT ANY point in the season was a miracle.

He told Tim McCarver that the reports that he spend the whole off-season re-tooling his swing were BS, that he did nothing of the sort.

Same swing, he has just relaxed his hands according to what he told McCarver.

sounds like the rest of the team is in a slump. He fricking better be hitting .292 for what hes getting paid. :exaggeration:

Realistically, The cubs will be happy for >.250 with elite defense.
