This is a tough one for me because I think Allen's contributions in the run game are underappreciated.

I think I might take JJ Watt because he's just now starting to enter the prime years of his career and he's already blowing people away. It could conceivably get better for him, somehow.

Just on size comparison alone. Have you seen the picture of Watt standing next to Yao Ming. Dude is fricking massive. I will try to post picture.

Allen was a beast no doubt. But Watt seems to be everywhere. Scary to think what might happen when Clowney learns how to play the position at the NFL level and Watt lines up next to him.

I do remember Allen completely dominating some Monday night games, but Watt does it in so many ways. And usually 3-4 DEs are nobodies because it is tough for them to have a tangible impact on the game. They are just the guys doing the work for the LBs, swallowing multiple O-lineman. Watt swallows two linemen and still gets a sack or TFL. It's insane.

JJ Watt all day everyday.

He is far more versatile at 290 lbs than Allen.

What other defensive lineman (maybe in NFL history) has led his team in Solo Tackles, Sacks, and Forced Fumbles 2 seasons in a row? Much less in his first 3 seasons in the NFL.

Over those 2 seasons he also has 23 pass deflections.
