unlike some lsu fans there are a lot of us that pull for the Cajuns , but here is the thing .... once you get to the top and have the success that a program like lsu has your fans become spoiled and those same great fans bitch about a lot of things because it feels so good to be the best ....
maybe one day the Cajuns will experience that feeling ....best of luck to the Cajuns going forward ...

Yeah we really haven't gotten to the mountaintop yet. The Nola bowls and good baseball seasons are great but we aren't household yet. I really feel like we can become a very respectable athletic program if we leave the Sunbelt and join a better conference

I mean it is hard to argue that LSU fans arent spoiled. ULL fans aren't spoiled because we haven't achieved the success to get spoiled from.

man yall have the one thing that counts and that's a very passionate fan base ....
as long as you have the fans and the right people in charge of the athletic program good things will come ....

That's literally what it is for us. For a long time our old president put all funding into the arts. People tried to donate to ULL athletics but Ray would basically tell them the money would go to the arts. Our athletic program was stagnant for years. Finally we got Savoie in office who understands sports brings money and recognition to the University and we finally are trending upward. We aren't where we wanna be yet but we are going in the right direction.

FWIW I agree ULL fans who claim to be on LSU's level athletically are just being childish. Like I said earlier it's offensive when LSU fans call us retards simply because we chose not to go to LSU.

I was really pulling for ULL to win their regional, make it to a SR then travel on to Omaha to face the Tigers. Baseball is a game of matchups as cliche as that sounds & the Cajuns were definitely overmatched.
However, [as of lately] I am actually finding pleasure in their lack of success soley on their constant shite talking on here & the numerous boards I lurk. I'm not even from Louisiana and their shite talking has become a joke.
tLSU is the flagship of this great state & over my undergraduate years, LSU has brought more recognition to Louisiana than UL-L could wish for.
We play for victory!

yea when you have a fan base that supports the program its not hard to see that investing in sports will pay dividends and is a great investment for the school ....

Constant shite talking may be excessive. Most of the shite talking posters only talk shite when a thread about ULL is started. I've rarely seen a ULL fan post in a thread after an LSU loss to laugh at them.

I forget the number but it's been in the tens of millions of dollars brought by the football program into Lafayette since the first Nola bowl. Good athletics makes everybody rich.
