Michigan St. fired Bobby Williams midway through 02, but still didn't do shite with Morris Watts as Interim HC.

Their #1 target is currently competing for the National Championship at another school in the same conference. I'm sure there's back channeling going on but there aren't a ton of names out there.

For the most part, any interim coach is going to be a lame duck coach for just a few remaining weeks. At a big program like Florida, that would really shake up the team and the administration, IMO.

People thought Orgeron had a shot to remain the permanent coach at USC. That may have had something to do with their resurgence.

Fair point, Ed Oregeron did a hell of a job getting that team to play well. Guess it just depends on situation. Like I said earlier, I won't lose sleep if they can WM.
