Does that make Delonte a grandfather?

Best ever? People really seem to forget how good players like Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Dr. J and Kareem were.

Lebron has locked himself into #2 all time, basically indisputable imo.

Win or lose, that doesn't really change much, he's done enough that no one other than MJ has ever done, he's locked in.

LeBron has lost 4 NBA championship series already.

He is not the greatest. He chokes most of the time.

Look, Lebron has proven that he's more consistently excellent when it matters. He's the best.

But Curry very well could have the last laugh if he summons his greatness for one night. It won't change that Lebron's better though.

At some level it is. He needs to win at least 1 title in Cleveland.

Every single person I know and respect when it comes to basketball puts LBJ firmly in the 2nd spot. My former profession was in coaching and all these guys are coaches ranging from 22 to 60 years in age.

No one, other than MJ, has played the game at the level he has for this long. That's almost undebatable at this point.

He's had more iconic playoff moments and epic games than probably every player ever, other than MJ.

He's firmly locked in to #2 IMO.

There is only one series where I'll say he choked, that was vs Dallas. He was awful. I will never understand it.

Outside of that the losses were to better teams. He showed up last season in the finals, more so than anyone else, yet lost.

No he's not.

Firmly assumes a consensus. We can't even get people to agree on what defines what makes a player GOAT. I think you would need to start there before we go any further.

Why MJ is what he is is because from pretty much any angle he comes out at or near the top. As a teammate he is right there. From an organizational perspective he is right there. For his accomplishments, for his numbers, for his performances, for his dominance in his era(with respect to context), for his accolades, for his championships, for so much more as well.

I think Lebron is in that conversation amongst the greatest and shifts depending on how you weigh certain things to define GOAT but he is not firmly there. Win or lose tonight. You still have guys like Wilt Chamberlain, Shaq, Bill Russell, Tim Duncan, Magic, Kareem and a couple others that would have a strong case depending on how you weigh things.

Here's my Sir Winston impression:

"I fancy wagering the lot of me savings on the blokes from Cleveland, mates. I talk to birds with this same rubbish UK slang, yet I wonder why none of them want to shag, snog, or get a bloody good rogering."

There, I did it all. You never have to post again.

And he makes sure the team isn't too good that he would have to share the ball. Once again, it's all about him and it's all on him.
