Is re-seeding each round the best playoff format?

The NHL and NFL have it right with reseeding after each round.
The NBA screws up by making it a straight bracket.
Why should the 1 seed have to play the 4 seed in the 2nd round when the 2 seed could be playing the 6 seed?

NBA screws it up with so many teams making the playoffs.

It's very interesting.
This won't happen but I'd like to see the highest seed pick whom they play

That would be really interesting, probably would get the matchups we will have next week this year though. Denver wouldn't want to play the colts and I bet the hawks want no part of another game with San Fran

I'd like to see team names printed on fish and have a duck grab them out of a barrel

A couple of things to ponder:
Does the NFL keep the re-seeding format when they eventually expand the playoffs to 14 teams?
Is re-seeding really fair to the #1 seed in the current format? Had Philly won, they would have played Carolina and Seattle would have gotten San Fran.
What I'd like to see happen in the NFL:
14 team playoff, seeding based on record, division winners are only guaranteed playoff spots (although first tie breaker would be division winner gets higher spot over wild card)
Re-seed on 2nd weekend
How it would have looked this year:
Seattle-Bye, Green Bay at Carolina, Arizona at San Fran, Philly at New Orleans
Denver-Bye, Pittsburgh at New England, San Diego at Cincy, KC at Indy

We could be like the F A cup and randomly draw.each round... March Madness with a Duke U N C first round?

well the FA cup doesn't have a regular season, so the draw has to be random.
