Last night in the Cubs game there was a play at second involving Kris Bryant. Bryant had a good jump and stole second, appearing to be called safe. The call on the field was safe. Dodgers went to the replay. I thought there has to be overwhelming evidence to overturn a call? How are these guys still not getting the right call even with replay? I'm a cubs fan and may be a little biased, but there was no angle they replayed that showed he was clearly out. In fact I think the tag was missed completely. Throw replay out, drop the DH, and make them pitch for an intentional walk. Quit jacking up a great game.

I think he missed with the swipe. I still think the AL should drop the DH and make the pitchers hit, be done with replay, and bring back the intentional walk. They are tinkering with the game too much

while i agree they botched the call last night, replay has helped more than it hurts. just my opinion

The issue with instant replay in sports is the gray area of is it enough to overturn the call. It is the biggest flaw with instant replay in sports and sometimes it feels like they just flip a coin on tough calls.

I was watching the game with the sound off and I thought he was safe when it happened. After watching all the replays I agreed with the reversal.

It looked to me from the 1st base angles that the glove swiped his pants just before he touches second.

I generally like instant replay but that one took too long. If the umpires had any question after watching all of the angles 1 time they should have kept the original call.

I think he was probably out there but my problem is with the "indisputable evidence". If it takes you several minutes and multiple replays to make the call, I don't see how you can call that indisputable.

The indisputable evidence thing is dumb anyway. U dont have indisputable evidence when u originally make the call so why should u need it to overturn it? U can see the play better in slo mo replay than u ever could in real time so just go with what looks right

The intentional walk one is billshit. I've seen numerous times where guys hit the ball while trying to be walked. Hell Miguel Cabrera did it a few years ago in the bigs. This isn't 11 year old rec ball. This is the major fricking leagues. The guy gets paid millions of dollars to pitch the damn ball and of he's not good enough to throw 4 pitches out of the zone where the hitter can't hit it without throwing a wild pitch that's on him. Next they'll make a rule saying games over if you lead by more than 10 after the 5th

He was out. Replay has also gotten way better than when they first started using it BTW.

This was ruled safe after replay a few years ago.

You have not seen a batter hit a ball while trying to be intentionally walked NUMEROUS times.

Ok well in your post you said this is "the major fricking leagues" so I assumed you meant MLB. Additionally, the rule change that you are discussing is only applicable to MLB. Having automatic intentional walks at the major league level has virtually zero impact on any game. I heard a number the other day that out of the last 1,000 intentional walks, only one time did something else happen ( meaning a wild pitch). One out of a thousand isn't exactly re writing the game of baseball.

Why? I don't really give a shite. The new rule is not changing the game of baseball.

How did it not change the game of baseball? Any rule change is a change to the game
