Claymation commercial on ESPN

I guess those rules don't apply to the Big 10.

Sheesh, what idiots over at ESPN approve these commercials?

After 31-0 I would imagine they'll only select conference winners going forward

Doubtful. An 11-1 non conference Bama is getting in. Which sucks bevusae that bullshite was the reason we got the playoffs.

Also the playoffs did not fix the issue of a early season loss being better than an late season loss. Which is stupid. A loss is a loss no matter in November or September. ESPN reinforced the idea all freaking weekend about fsu and Bama getting back in because it is an "early" loss.

Because when a team loses they usually drop from where they are. So think of this scenario:

Penn State is unbeaten going into the final weekend of the regular season and sitting at #4. Alabama has 1 loss going into the Iron Bowl and is sitting at #5. PSU loses, Bama wins. Bama jumps Penn State because Penn State just lost and Bama just won.

What if PSU still had by far the better season? That is the flaw of that idea. The only situation is if one team won their conference and the other did not.

This scenario uses Bama which we all know the answer is what ever is better for Bama.

Bama gets in every year with 1 loss regardless if they win the conference or not

Agree 100%.

But the voters follow flawed logic. Other dumb thing is when #3 beats #5 and they drop #5. #3 is SUPPOSED to beat #5, but all of a sudden that team is only #10.

An 11-1 LSU team who's only loss is to Bama is getting in if Bama goes undefeated.

Same thing for Auburn. Imagine the Iron Bowl with both teams unbeaten. Auburn could have wins on the road against 2 Top 5 teams at the time of their game, (Clemson & LSU if they are undefeated going into that game)

It would've been interesting a couple of years ago if Ole Miss didn't have their souls taken away by Arkansas. 11-2 SEC champ Ole Miss who beat Bama in Tuscaloosa or 11-1 Bama who didn't lose to Memphis?

And I understand that. I was just saying that the way the polls have almost always worked is how I described it.

Another, IMO, is not dropping a team after bad/ugly wins vs. inferior teams.

I love how people still think the BCS solved anything.

And ever worse how this 4-team "playoff" solved anything.

It's still MNC.

Eye-test, subjective bullshite. How do you think the teams are getting in this supposed playoff? Because they won something on the field? Wow, that would be novel.

Until you have to win a championship on the field to get into the playoff it will still be bullshite subjective homerism regionalism voting bullshite.

With four spots in 2013, one goes to Bama.

Based on them taking Ohio State over Penn State, they probably would've gone with Bama.

i'm wondering if they'll expand it beyond 4 one day. I hope they don't but it wouldn't surprise me one bit.

i will say the thing I like most about the playoff is the long break that the teams get but then the last two only have a week to prepare. Its an interesting plot twist. Kind of like Oregon a few years ago. They made their big splash against Florida St. but couldn't finish it against Ohio State a week later.

But only because an 11-1 Alabama could literally NEVER be as bad as that shite Ohio State team.

The committee knows..
