If Lebron failed an NBA drug test would the league squash it?

Any type of PED: hgh, blood doping, recovery drugs etc.

The NBA more than any league relies upon the talents of its superstars to market the sport and league. Any loss of confidence in supermen flying through the air catching alleys would be irreparable damage to the game. I'm also probably 100% certain that David Stern would quash it. "Basketball reasons".

I don't know the inner ethics of the NBA front office well enough to say one way or the other.

I do know that if he did it would leak into the media because no way news like that can be kept completely quiet

The draft lottery is fixed so I see no reason they wouldn't make a failed drug test go away

They would prolly do what they did for MJ when he got caught betting on basketball, ask him to take a few years off and let it die down. Same thing tennis did for Agassi and golf did for DJ

That makes zero sense. Him retiring would only increase speculation (from retards). What good does secretly suspending a player do? Stern was on suicide watch when Jordan retired, and it was only a year and a half. If anything they begged him to come back.

Look I'm just telling you what the consensus rumors were. MJ gambled, Agassi did Meth, Dj did coke, And Nadal did steroids. And their suspensions were served in retirement or injury

So did Sampras and the NO Saints team in 1993. What of it? Common for the 1990s. Why not okay today?

Two problems with that theory:

1) David Stern isn't commissioner anymore
2) If you want to make sure LBJ doesn't come up dirty, why would you go to the trouble of covering up a positive test instead of just making sure he doesn't come up on the "random" testing list?

Solid. 9/10. But I'm seriousness, do you have a pride bat symbol?

So you believe the NBA secretly suspended their cash cow because it was the right thing to do, yet allowed him to return the next year?

He 100% took a PED vacation earlier this year. He was tiny and playing just ok for him and then took a 2 week trip to Florida and came back looking beyond jacked and was a beast. Look at him in the Finals vs the first 2 months of the season, nobody goes from skinny to SWOLE over the course of the course of a season.

When was the Nadal sit-down? Wimbledon '09, US Open '12/Aussie '13, or US Open '14?

The Nadal rumor on tour was 09. He took a hiatus and then came back with short hair and no muscles
