They would be golden.

I'll take a sprinkling of "hottakes" from Lavar Ball or Merrill Hodge and a couple of journalistic shows and or documentaries like the Rinaldi pieces or 30 for 30s. That's it. They could become nimble and give the people what they want.

They would be far from golden.

In two years it'll just be a running blog about Lebron/Steph Curry's life.

I was watching between sets at the gym this morning and they had a segment on "fashion police"

good grief.

I mean that would basically leave with 3 months of draft talk and dead air.

They could go back to the days of showing Aussie Rules during slow US sports periods. I miss those refs and the huge pompoms.

ESPN definitely needs to go back what made them so popular and get from all of these shows with talking heads.

Problem is, the model that made them popular is outdated.

And in my opinion, the "so-and-so talk about sports" TV show is dying. There is so much entertainment out there that people don't have to settle on mediocre shows.

I'd still only watch the live sports.

They'd still have the actually issue killing their business to deal with, people are cutting the cord and they made a living off of being in cable packages even for people who don't give a crap about sports.

ESPN definitely needs to go back to an unpopular business model that they went away from presumably because ratings weren't up to par?

Also...the real issue is people who never watch ESPN at all cutting the cord. So even if your suggestion were to be a great suggestion that would make ESPN fantastic for those who watch, it still doesn't solve the real issue.

You clowns who say this dumb shite act like ESPN is trying to replace FOX or CNN. I wasnt aware that ESPN had a segment on Sports Center dedicated to current affairs and the national debt after they aired highlights.
