I understand that, and I agree with you. It was more mocking the people who legitimately bring them up when comparing QBs.
We really need a sarcasm font on TD.

Brees plays another 6-7 years at the level he has been and wins another Superbowl...we'll be talking about him as the GOAT.
He will have shattered every regular season record and has shown he can light it up in the playoffs statistically as well.

I just get tired of guys acting like Super Bowl wins make or break a QB's legacy and that it's the most important way to compare them.
Okay...for the last time. Please drill this into that melon inside your head that you call a brain. Peyton Manning's legacy is already set as one of the greatest QBs to ever play the game. Let me repeat, PEYTON MANNING'S LEGACY IS ALREADY SET AS ONE OF THE GREATEST QBS TO EVER PLAY THE GAME!!!
No one is arguing otherwise. I don't know why you think people who are critical of Manning's postseason performances are arguing this because they are most definitely not. HOWEVER. HOWEVER! If you are going to make an argument for a QB to be the greatest at ever playing that position, stats AND, let me say again, AND championships MUST BOTH be factored into the equation. Let me repeat. IF YOU ARE GOING TO MAKE AN ARGUMENT FOR A QB TO BE THE GREATEST AT EVER PLAYING THAT POSITION, STATS AND CHAMPIONSHIPS BOTH MATTER!
Manning has the stats. No question. None. But his playoff performances drag him down. He's still Top 5 all-time. But performances like the one we saw last night are the reason why we can't legitimately call him the greatest of all-time.

I don't think anyone would argue that. But had he won he would be considered THE GOAT not one of.
