...he would be:

(1) still racing but rarely competitive
(2) still racing and be very competitive
(3) retired but running his own team
(a) and Jr. would be racing for him
(b) and Jr. would not be racing for him.

What say you? Keep in mind he was killed 9 years ago.

Ralph Dale Earnhardt Sr. (April 29, 1951 – February 18, 2001), better known simply as Dale Earnhardt, was an American race car driver, best known for his career driving stock cars in NASCAR's top division and being one of the most famous drivers to die in a racing crash.

He would almost be 60. I am thinking retired.

Dale Jr would be considered more of a sideshow act then a legitimate driver.

There would be no one for little redneck children to pray to before they went night-night.

What amazed me was all the tacky crap for sale that came out after he died. The worst one I saw was a plaque with a picture of the crash, and faded onto it is a picture of Dale with wings, ascending to heaven... WTF

Retired from driving but running DEI.

Dale Jr would still be in a Bud sponsored 8 car, Waltrip would be in a NAPA sponsored 15 car and Ryan Newman would be in the Bass Pro sponsored #1.

DEI would have at least one, maybe two more Daytona 500 wins and at least one Cup title.
