actually, he can speak English, and read English and understand spoken English.

what he is not willing to do is to misunderstand a question, or speak English poorly, with an accent and be misunderstood and made fun of.
by having a translator, he is guaranteed to know the question's intent and to have his ideas expressed in language the audience can understand.

don't take the bait, you'd have to be stupid to believe that.

What is mind-boggling to ME is that people associate the ability to speak multiple languages with extreme intelligence. There is no correlation. I know a guy who is fluent in 3 languages yet he is one of the bigger dumbasses that I know….difference being that he is a dumbass in 3 languages instead of 1.

I wonder how those people who publish such studies as referred to having Jewish people #1 in IQ, found out who were Jewish. From grade school on, I never once had any test asking what my religion was. I remember IQ tests in grade school, beginning in the 3rd grade. None of them asked the race of the person or the religion. So these results referred to must have been done with the specific intent to isolate Jewish results and Asian results.
Look far and wide on the internet, and you can see state scores by race, including black, white, asian and "Hispanic", but no Jewish category.

It has nothing to do with his intelligence level and everything to do with him not having respect for our dialect and wanting to learn our language. Believe it or not, America is heavily looked down upon throughout much of the world. I would assume some eastern people wouldnt want to poison their mouth with our language. That's ok, I think the Japanese are savages so we're even. They make good food though.
