I didn't think the NFL could do anything to actually get me to stop watching

I don't give a shite about off the field drama or anything like that, players being pieces of shite off the field of course piss me off but that won't make me stop watching.

But having 40 flags a game is just atrocious.

This is the first time I've ever felt like I wasted my time after spending a whole day watching football.

I watched the Saints, Cowboys, and SNF FWIW.

I'm the kind of guy who will watch MAC games on tuesdays, but the NFL product (especially with its billions of commercials) is pretty unwatchable.

Defenders can't breathe on offensive players without any of 3 different flags thrown (illegal contact, holding, or PI)

I felt this way for the first time last year. I'll still watch but as the season goes on I'll watch less and less.

I too watched the saints and cowboys games. My eyes bled for 7 straight hours.

The flags constantly interrupting every single snap and massive amounts of commercials have me watching less and less. I'll listen to games while I do something else, but it's starting to turn into a chore more than enjoyment.

I didn't watch the NFL today, and it sounds like I made a fantastic choice. The flags and commercials are getting out of hand.

Premier League makes for a way better Sunday in my opinion. Takes less than two hours for a game, including half time, and there's no commercials.

When is everyone's disinterest going to affect ratings? That's the only way things will change.

The penalties are absurd.

You can't get excited about a long run or a killer punt return or a great coverage without cringing, expecting a penalty to take it all away.

I suspect there will be a gradual decline in support if this keeps up. It may take years before it really hits home. Who knows maybe there is no hope.

The quality of play in our most popular sport is depressing and this is a message board

Love EPL but the leagues don't overlap, so there is no one or the other.
