The center of the greatest sports game show has passed away today.
That was must-see TV for teenage version of me every time it was on. One of the few trivia game shows that I could watch and think I had a shot but knowing deep down I wouldn't stand a chance

Friend and I saw him in Indianapolis during LSU Final 4. He was surprised we recognized him and came over to talk with us for a while. Nice guy.
I asked him how he could possibly have missed “who were Michigan’s Fab 5” (which was iconic piece of sports trivia, at least at the time).
He laughed and said everyone in the studio gave him so much shite about missing that one. He said he just blanked on Ray Jackson.
Absolutely incredible how much sports trivia knowledge he had. RIP

I saw that the show was from 2004-2006. Why did the show only last two years?
He was very knowledgeable and funny. Not sure why it didn’t last longer.

All started with PTI

PTI has nothing to do with this. PTI started in 2001. Stump the Schwab TV show was from 2004-2006. 3 years after PTI started.

I would guess ratings weren’t good.

He was 63 years old and Stump the Schwab was 20 years ago. He was only 43 during that show? He looked like shite. All the fatties out there need to get their shite together

The Schwab is most definitely reunited with Stuart Scott I can almost bet they're playing Stump the Schwab in heaven right now
