How stupid is the BIG12 going to feel when they are left out?

Oklahoma beats Baylor
TCU beats Oklahoma

BIG12 gets left out of the playoffs again

Do you think Utah finishes undefeated?

I think they have a good shot to for sure, the PAC isn't that great this year.

If it comes down to a 1 loss BIG12 champ in Baylor, and a 1 loss LSU who's 1 loss is to UF in the SECCG, who gets left out?

If FL runs the table and beats LSU in a rematch, theres no question FL would get in over Baylor.

Not to mention FL also has a high ranked FSU team left on the schedule.

I don't know. I just think neither Clemson nor FSU finish undefeated and the ACC gets left out.

I don't think Utah finishes undefeated.

Of course for the SEC I'm only entertaining the thought of LSU winning the conference.

I actually think Baylor probably has the best chance of going undefeated out of all the unbeaten teams.

One loss Stanford is also improving every week. They'd go before a one loss Big 12 champ not named Oklahoma. Maybe even over Oklahoma too if Notre Dame and Utah keep winning.

That's not what I asked.

I mean between LSU and Baylor, imagine if UF has 2-3 losses

They probably will meet Stanford in Pac 12 championship game. Either way the Pac could have a 1 loss champion.

Its looking like we will have an undefeated ACC champ and an undefeated B1G champ, so there goes 2 spots right there. The Big 12, SEC and Pac are gunning for the other 2. The Big 12 not having that extra game is going to hurt them again.

Does someone know how to look up nonconference records against P5 opponents for each P5 conference?

I think it's hilarious that this playoff solves none of the problems it's trying to solve, in fact it creates more.

Imagine a 1 loss BIG12 champ
2 loss PAC12 champ
1 loss BIG10 champ
1 loss ACC champ not FSU
2 loss SEC champ
And 1 loss LSU with their loss in the SECCG

Either way 2 fan bases are pissed

For the sake of argument, that extra game is in October against a cupcake (bc the XII plays on that final weekend)

Besides it only helps teams if they win it.

Look at a team's record, their opponents' combined record, and their opponents' opponents' combined record. Whoever that favors is almost always who gets the nod. It happened last year, in fact, and I told this board it was going to happen. I told everyone that OSU would pass TCU and Baylor when the Wisconsin game game them a SOS nod. Buckeye fans thought I was insane, but I've been right time and time again when it comes to this.

In other words, look for one-loss Baylor to be shut out.

you didn't even have to tell us that... we had a thread yesterday on their woeful OOC scheduling. one loss puts them at the back of the line. Problem is, who's able to score with them?

but let's say they lose and get left out again. how many times will they be shut out before they take the hint?

I hope 1 loss Baylor/TCU doesn't get left out, just so I don't have to listen to my friends bitch about how they don't get a fair shot. I'd just like to see them get in and get drilled so they can stop their bitching

Their problems would be mostly solved with a championship game.

I think that's the OPs point though. In that scenario, who is the Big12 champ? Easier to put a true conference champ in the playoffs.
