Not sure why you are lauging. It almost is impossible with 700 million to go broke. Sure he may file bankruptcy but going broke is pretty much impossible

It's funny how each time you post his net worth goes up. His net worth is estimated around $400 million. No one could publicly know for sure though. Only a measly $300 million difference than what you claim.

First off no. 50 cents deal gave him close to 410 million. Floyd is already worth 650 million.
Where are you getting this 650 million from? Not saying you're wrong, but please supply a link and not just something your barber told you last week.

And according to the first link on Google it is $400 million.
LINK
Either of those is significantly less than the $700 million that you claim. They are both not much more than wild guesses though.

Regardless, with that net worth the chances of him going broke are almost nothing. He may file bankruptcy, be he isnt broke. Both of the "broke" examples in this thread still have net worths over a million

While I agree with people in this thread that it seems almost impossible for him to go broke, he is almost like a case study. The dude comes across as an idiot, gambles milions, and is at risk of mental illness due to his profession.
This. It will be fascinating to watch honestly. if he does manage to go broke it will be quite the feat

It would be pretty much impossible for him to go completely broke in the living on the street sort of way, sure. At the worst he would be able to make money off of his name. He could become relatively broke though and end up having to live on a close to average type of budget, which would be pathetic because the money he has should keep him wealthy his entire life and set up a legacy that lasts generations.

Floyd has about the same reading level as Forrest Gump, and by the end of the movie he was living in his momma's house.

They really should have academics following him around. Give an illiterate moron a seemingly unblowable amount of cash and see what happens

While Floyd does live an outrageously expensive lifestyle, people that know him well will tell you he actually is pretty financially sound minded.
Alot of his spending gets the media attention, but he understands how to generate revenue better than anyone in boxing. And as said earlier, his business interests will continue to generate revenue after he retires.

both had fortunes of 200+ million dollars and both filed for bankruptcy. regardless if mayweather handles his own promotions, as others have mentioned, he has an enormous entourage, a well documented gambling obsession, millions upon millions wrapped up in houses and cars, a huge staff to maintain his houses, etc. he does not have enough money to continue the lifestyle he does without the massive amount of money he makes off of his fights. it will be interesting to see how he handles himself once he's out of the ring. too many people to count have a problem getting away from that life once their careers are over. all i'm saying is, regardless of what he's worth now, it's not impossible for him to blow through all of the fortune he's accumulated.

they may continue to generate money, but they won't be able to support his current lifestyle. he's going to have to restructure his spending the day he decides to hang it up. whether he will or not is to be determined

It is all relative. I know someone who has squandered a few hundred mill over a lifetime. Planes, cars, property, bad investment, dozens of employees. This man is not broke to me because he still has LOTS of money. But if I was having to sell real estate, investments and my personsal property to buy grocerys and keep myself going, I would feel broke as shite.
